This large 1.75" size button is the only the second we've offered and the only one of five known to us that has a back paper. The paper has large, bold type for National Equipment Co (plus address) over small text W&H patent dates. The earliest Santa known to us, the 1898 date is certain and documented by the Sunday, Nov. 20, 1898 edition of the Brooklyn Eagle newspaper which carried a coupon for readers to submit to the "Editor Childrens' Page" pledging to give at least one present to a child who otherwise would likely not receive any. The coupon concluded "Please Get Me A Membership Pin And Enroll Me As A Member Of The Brooklyn Eagle Santa Claus Aid Society." This example, like our first, has some light age age tone scattered on very outer edge. Compared to our first, the red color is about 1/3" faded but still very obvious. Full gloss and almost no surface wear. Fine and Rare. Our first example in 2019 realized $3348.84. Again, the only example we know of with its back paper present.
Available payment options
Accepted payment methods are Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, check, money order and we will also accept payment by wire transfer. PayPal is not an accepted method of payment. A 3% fee will be added to all credit card payments. Please be advised if your invoice is under $5,000, your credit card on file will be charged on the 15th day following the close of the auction. If you wish to pay via check, money order or a wire payment must be received prior to that date.
We ship in the order paid—first in, first out. Thus, we begin charging orders as instructed by customers immediately following the close of the auction and continue to fill orders as they are paid.
Please make sure your shipping address is updated prior to the close of the auction.
Doing so after the close of the auction may result in a package not being delivered to the correct address. It is the bidder's responsibility to make sure their mailing and shipping address is updated. Without exception, all special requests for “Rush Delivery” will incur a charge of $50.00 plus any additional shipping fee associated with the expedited shipment. Overall, our goal is to ship all orders within 15 business days of payment. Allow four weeks from the day you send payment before calling to check on the status of your order.
