11x17" artboard has design layout for frontispiece of Classic X-Men #19, published by Marvel Comics March 1988. All text and publishing indicia are pasted stats while margins features eight original art illustrations of X-Men Nightcrawler, Phoenix, Storm, Banshee, Beast, Cyclops, Wolverine and Colossus. Pencil original art by popular comic artist Arthur Adams w/inks by frequent collaborator Terry Austin. Art was created for inside front cover of issue that reprints the first story from X-Men #113. Top of artboard has inked title, issue number and "Cov2" notation while bottom margin has inked printing instructions w/printer registration labels at margins. Artboard has printed signatures of Adams and Austin at lower right; Adams has signed in black ink below Wolverine image. Back has Marvel Comics copyright inkstamp w/inked title, issued number and "Cover #2" notation. Bottom edge has strip of white tape along most of length; not visible on front. Art remains clean and Exc. Wonderful example of X-Art by Adams. Comes w/multi-signed reading copy of the comic this art was produced for, signed on inside front cover by Adams; on first page by John Byrne, Chris Claremont and Kieron Dwyer and on page 21 by John Bolton.
