Item Description
7x13.5" die-cut display card contains child's shiny satin-like fabric tie. c. 1948 © D.C. Card features 8.5" tall perforated figure of Superman w/easel designed to be punched out and used as a stand-up figure. Text on card includes "Wear A Superman Tie And Be A Reg'lar Feller." Card has tiny nick at top die-cut "Superman" name and .25" tear w/neat glue repair at top by die-cut slot for tie. Another .25" tear w/neat glue repair at right center. Bottom right has .75" corner crease. Card remains bright and clean. Displays Fine/VF. Tie has small trace of wear to silk-screened "Superman" name but is o/w Exc. Ties came in different colors and w/different images of Superman, this one features full body image of him landing from flight. Scarce on card. Franco Toscanini Collection.
