Item Description
Original cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains 3.25x4-3/8" vinyl wallet by Hidecraft, ©1947 Nat'l Comics Pub. Box has nice image of Superman flying beside "Superman" comic book title logo. Box has some lt. wear w/2" streak underneath "Superman" name and lt. corner tip wear. Box remains tight and Fine. Vinyl billfold has repeat Superman illustration and "Superman" comic book title logo w/city bkg. Back of wallet has four different Superman images and Superman's iconic "S" symbol. Wallet interior is heavily worn but exterior remains nice for display. Comes w/2.5x3.5" double-sided "Superman Identification Card" w/repeat full body image of Superman from box lid. Unused and Exc. Wallet is scarce w/box and card. Lot also includes June 1949 "Chain Store Age" trade publication which features two-page spread featuring this wallet (as well as similar Lone Ranger wallet) and Superman and Lone Ranger carded belts. Moderate spine wear but interior pages remain clean and bright. Franco Toscanini Collection.
