Item Description
Lot of premiums from the mid-1930s all issued by Heinz Cereal. 5x7” original mailing envelope contains 9x13” club promotional sheet, certificate and membership card for rank of “Lieutenant.” Both card and certificate have been filled out in ink. Sheet includes image of Turner with facsimile message from him. Includes information and order blanks for silver-plated Captain’s wings and gold-plated Major’s wings. All items have scattered lt. wear/aging but are Fine to VF. Lot also includes 16 of the famous airplane picture cards. (See store sign #2626). Each is 1-7/8x3” featuring color images of aircraft on fronts with corresponding text on back along with mention of 25 cards in the set obtained from packages of Heinz Cereal. Cards including duplicates are 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 12, 13-15, 16 (3), 22, 23, 25 (2). Card #1 features Roscoe Turner’s “57” racer. Front has residue streak from rubberband as does back of one card #25. Card #15 has a lt. crease. These 3 cards are VG. Other cards have just slightest trace of aging but remain quite clean and with fairly sharp corners. N. Mint.
