Item Description
6x7" Vol. 25 #31, Sep., 1928 issue of magazine w/contents of jokes, humorous stories and cartoons, much of which is risque in nature. This issue features three Carl Barks cartoons and his art appeared in this magazine until about 1934. Barks went to work at the Disney Studio in 1935. The two Barks full page cartoons are of a Black couple w/text reading "He Calls Her Darkness 'Cause There's Nothing About Her That's Light" and back view of bathing beauty w/text "A Pair Of Fine Below." A third Barks cartoon is of woman between two men on a sofa while third man peeks at them from behind a curtain and below this cartoon are two different jokes for this image. Front cover has pair of staple pulls but cover remains firmly intact. Cover has scattered lt. wear and dust soiling. Contents remain clean. Fine. Great early Barks art.
