Item Description
Lot of 2, each about 5.25x8”. 1976 hardcover for full year and 1980 softcover for January 1, 1980 through January 31, 1981. Each has numerous entries written in pencil by Carl Barks. Includes trips by car with his wife Gare, bird watching and places visited. Collectors of note mentioned include: Bruce Hamilton, Don Phelps, Russ Cochran, Don Ault, Peter Ledger, Malcolm Willets and David Yaruss. The 1976 book notes the “King Cole” and “Parade” paintings. Barks wrote his name in ink on the title page of the 1980 book. Though not every page is filled out, both offer interesting insight into various activities of “The Good Duck Artist.” Both are Exc., Carl added piece of felt to spine of the diary for his comfort. Each comes with individual COA from Jerry Weist noting these were from Bark’s estate.
