Item Description
10.5x16” thin artboard with 6 panel story segment from 1975 issue. Story deals with Captain America’s archnemesis The Red Skull explaining how he manipulated Sam Wilson into becoming Captain America’s crime fighting partner The Falcon calling him “An Upright, Cheerful Negro.” While not politically correct, this line of thinking is well in line with The Red Skull’s Nazi beliefs. Such mainstays in Captain America comics as The Cosmic Cube and The Falcon’s avian sidekick Redwing also make appearances. Art is by Frank Robbins and Mike Esposito. Margins have numerous editorial notations and there are three 1.5” long tape strips at top, left and bottom margin and a .5” segment at right margin. Right-hand margin and left-hand margin have some soiling but for most part art remains VF. Great, Bronze Age content.
