Item numbers 1 though 954 and 3000 through 3054 in auction 190.
Item Description
1" vertical stickpin holds all-metal flower with six movable flower petals with interior surfaces accented in red, blue and silver. Petals are surrounded by six metallic green leaves. Outer surface of one leaf reads "US Novelty Company Col. O." On the base is a brass lever. Pushing the lever down causes the six interior petals to close forming a dark brown bud with a few gold accent lines. Pushing the lever up causes the bud to spring open revealing a slightly yellowed celluloid semispheric dome with portrait of TR. The bud's petals stay in the open position until closed by means of the lever. Extremely rare and very imaginative mechanical. Trivial loss of a little metallic green from reverse surfaces of leaves. Overall VF.
