Item Description
Lot of 172 items, primarily celluloid buttons, comprising Marshall Levin's items designated Poland. There are four distinct groupings: 1) 15 enamel on brass crosses all with reverses of circular brass cap on a threaded post. 2) 22 enamels on various medals all with reverses of a cap on threaded post plus one 9" fabric pennant for Polish students group. 3) 53 mostly U.S.A. issued buttons in support of early 1980s Solidarnosc (Solidarity) movement. 4) 81 mostly U.S.A. issued buttons related to Poland in some manner. Fairly even distribution of issues from 1920s through 1970s. Includes portrait buttons for Pulaski, General Haller Kosciusko, Ignace Paderewski, others. Some items have Levin's removable ink notation on back as to date of issue, etc. Our photo shows 50 of the smaller and older items from the group of 81. Vast majority of all 172 items are Exc. to Mint with just a couple exceptions.
