Item Description
Pair of approx. 5.5x7.5" die-cut vintage Valentine's Day cards by Quality Novelty Co. c. 1940. Not to be confused w/their smaller size cards, these two are much more impressive in design and size. First features "You Are My Superman And How!" w/little girl and full figure Superman while second features Superman prying jail bars apart w/"I'd Tear The Strongest Jail Apart To Reach The Idol Of My Heart!" text. Both have inscriptions on backs and are lightly aged. Card w/girl has 3/8" split at fold. Jail card has small .25" streak of moisture staining. VG/Fine overall. These larger cards are much scarcer as fewer designs were produced. Franco Toscanini Collection.
