Item Description
22.5" long "Raygun Rifle" by noted robot and space-themed found object artist Gus Constantine. 1980s. Constantine is noted for creating wonderful sci-fi themed sculptures and art using found objects and scrap materials. These one-of-a-kind hand-made rifles were crafted using scrap aluminum and vintage 1930s Bakelite catalin plastic. The example offered here has been mounted on custom pivoting metal base for display purposes and features working crank on side of rack that can move barrel up and down. This rifle features Bakelite grip, ball accent at back of barrel, ringed disc accents where barrel connects to stock and barrel muzzle and sight. Bent spoon handle serves as non-moving trigger. Scattered lt. aging, but displays Exc. Great addition to any vintage space/sci-fi collection.
