Item Description
8" long cast metal pair by Duro Mold & Manufacturing Co. 1950s. First is "Strato Bank," w/design including three-dimensional rocketship that launches coins into moon globe. One side of base has partial "The Telephone Credit Union Inc." decal, though this shows wear and is only 75% complete. Rocketship has raised "XU232" name on each side. Small red plane is pulled back, locking in place the spring-loaded mechanism. When button on back of ship is pressed, this plane launches forward, firing coin into slot. Complete w/trap and key. Bank has only minimum wear. Exc. Second is "Rocket Bank," w/raised name on base front and "Mercury" on each side of rocket. Side has "Dairyman's State Bank" decal, which shows some scattered wear. Top of rocket has small futuristic plane that is pulled back, locking in place spring-loaded mechanism. Small spaceman figure is also on top and this is pushed so the plane launches forward, firing the coin into a slot at tip. Works. Has trap and key. Scattered aging w/trace oxidation. VF.
