Item Description
7" dia. record released in 1961. Songs are "Angel/A Love That Can Never Be." The label number is M-1006 with matrix number "H 641" on "Angel" side and "Audio Matrix/Bell Sound/ARP" markings on both sides. Labels are bw w/text "Disc Jockey Advance Sample." Lt. aging to the labels. Vinyl has slight surface wear visible in reflected light but remains clean and shiny. Plays fine w/minimal surface noise. VG+/Exc. A very nice example of this desirable Motown rarity. The Satintones were an American R&B group who recorded together in the late 1950s and early 1960s. They are notable as the first group ever to record for the Motown label. They recorded six singles for Motown between 1959 and 1961, though they never scored a hit record. The group disbanded at the end of 1961. This record was produced by the legendary Berry Gordy, Jr.
