Item Description
Original 14x22.25" cardboard poster for Aug. 4, 1961 concert that took place at Elks Farm that was headlined by Hank Ballard & The Midnighters who have large bw photo portrait. Hank Ballard & The Midnighters were one of the first Rock & Roll artists to emerge in the early 1950s. Ballard played an integral part in the development of the genre, writing/recording "The Twist" which spread the popularity of the dance and was notably covered by Chubby Checker. Ballard was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1990. Concert also featured Hank Moore & His Orchestra. Poster was printed by Globe Poster of Baltimore, MD. Poster has some corner tip/margin wear aging at margins. If matted and framed, poster would display VF. Scarce.
