Item Description
Complete basic set of 12 pieces, measuring between 1" and 4.5" tall. Made by GEM Clay Forming Company for distribution by both sponsors of the Tarzan radio show and others. 1932. Basic Fould's set of 10 includes Tarzan w/Cheeta (this is first version w/o name on base), Kala holding baby Tarzan, Jane Porter, Numa the Lion, Sheeta the Panther, Witch Doctor, Pirate w/treasure chest, Lt. D'Arnot, Cannibal Warrior and Monkey Trio (which were counted as a single item and shipped in same box). All but Witch Doctor, Cannibal Warrior, Numa and Pirate statues have been painted by original owner. Numa has repair to extended foot break and 1" stressline on side. VG. Rest have some scattered lt. aging/dust soiling but are VF-Exc. overall. Statues come w/complete 9.5x12.5" order sheet which shows all statues in this set as well as a color guide for painting. As noted on order sheet, three " Foulds' Directions" panels were needed for each statue. Sheet has been folded and shows wear w/splits along fold lines. VG.
