Item Description
Original cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains set made in Japan by Horikowa, c. early 1960s. Box has some lt. wear/aging, but remains tight and remains free of any splits. Fine/VF. Set consists of a 6" long tin litho gun, 2.5x7x9" tall battery-operated target unit and comes w/two rubber-tipped darts and two pairs of hollow plastic target balls. Box lid shows boy wearing space helmet and holding a black gun as furnished w/set. Front of target is a thick die-cut cardboard panel w/full color paper label featuring large rocketship illustration and planet surface w/spacemen, vehicles and dome-covered buildings. Attached to back is tin battery box unit w/powerful fan mechanism. Target works and produces a powerful stream of air and loud fan noise which causes the plastic balls to rise into the air and are in turn to be shot w/dart. Set appears unused and NM. Great design.
