Item Description
This game came in different sized boxes and this is larger 8.5x15.5x1.75" deep size. Box contains early 1940s game by Milton Bradley, © Superman Inc. Lid features great art of Superman leaping over buildings while side panels feature different small action images of him. Box shows scattered wear w/corner tip wear and slight fade to lid but box remains free of corner splits and remains glossy. VG/Fine. Contents include 13x16.5" gameboard w/center showing office scene depicting Perry White at desk next to vacant desk of Clark Kent. This is surrounded by repeated small images of Superman breaking chains and Clark Kent. Thick cardboard gameboard has small ripple at edge and small spot of discoloration at one corner but o/w Exc. Game was produced in other versions, this version comes w/die-cut cardboard Superman playing pieces (other versions came w/generic wooden playing pieces). These double-sided playing pieces show lt. wear at ankles from use. Game pieces are complete w/exception of one generic wood playing piece base. Fine/VF. This version is marked "Milton Bradley Company" between buildings at right. From the Robert M. Overstreet Collection and comes with COA.
