Item Description
8x10x1.5" deep box contains complete and working set by Daisy. c. 1940. Box has obvious wear including splits to all four corners of lid, dust soiling/aging and 4" split on the lid along right edge. Box graphics remain strong but overall box is just Good. Box does have the insert that includes Superman illustration and detailed description of the gun's features and list of filmstrip titles. This insert also has scattered wear/aging w/a few small edge splits. Fine. Battery-operated steel film viewer gun is 7" long. Very nicely designed w/raised image of Superman on the left side. Incised "Superman Krypto Raygun" name on the grip. Has bulb and gun lights. Gun has very minor traces of surface oxidation and this blends w/the gun's dark finish. VF. Has four of seven complete 16mm bw filmstrips (and one partial strip) w/titles that include "Rolling The Football Crooks, Saving The Circus, Reforming The Prison" and "The Subway Mystery." Complete film strips are VF/Exc. Final item is 3.5x5.25" instruction paper w/list of films on back and this includes image of Superman as well as Red Ryder. Moderate scattered aging w/some lt. handling wear. Fine. Scarce. From the Don Maris Collection.
