Lot of three posters issued in 1943 and 1945. All are folded as issued. First measures 16x22.5" and features art of farm couple w/pitchfork and produce in hand. Art by Douglas. Poster reads "Work On A Farm...This Summer - Join The U.S. Crop Corps" and small text at bottom reads "U.S. Government Printing Office: 1943-O-520467." Moderate wear w/.5" tears at fold edges and scattered insect damage to margins and along fold lines. VG/Fine. Next poster measures 22x28" and shows farm scene w/large central image of bushel basket by Steven Dohanos and text "Fill It! - Help Harvest War Crops" and small text at bottom reads "U.S. Government Printing Office: 1945-O-637278." Back of poster has one panel w/typed address and War Food Administration return address. Another panel has text about displaying poster. Poster has lt. aging/handling wear and is Exc. Last poster measures 18.25x26" and has Presidential Seal at top center and is "A Message About Food From The President Of The United States" Harry S. Truman and calls for Americans to increase the country's food supply by growing victory gardens, preserving/canning food and general conservation. Facsimile signature at bottom. Small text at bottom reads "U.S. Government Printing Office: 1945-O-654012." Back of poster has one panel w/typed address and U.S. Department of Agriculture return address. Exc.
