Item Description
1-5/8" showing giant airship with inscription "Belleville Home Of Scott-Field." During World War I the government opened this field and announced it would name it after Corporal Frank S. Scott who was the first enlisted person to be killed in an aviation crash. In 1919 the War Department turned the field over to the lighter-than-air branch Air Corps. Button as tiny 1/8" dent near top and light paint wear. VF and rare.
