He made his first appearance in "Silver Streak Comics" #10 in May, 1941, then appeared in "Captain Battle Comics" from 1941-1943. Readers who promised to uphold the principles of Americanism and the Constitution could join the Captain Battle Boys' Brigade. These include 1.75" dia. "Silver Streak Comics - Captain Battle Boys' Brigade" premium button. One of the rarest, and unusually large, early comic book club member's buttons, this dates from 1941. Glossy and Exc. Also included is even rarer 2.5x3.75" membership card which has been signed in ink on provided line. As framed, both sides of card are visible, back of frame showing side of card w/Captain Battle image and Boys' Brigade rules/creed.
