Item Description
Each is 3-3/8x5-3/8" c. early 1900s-1930s. Images include dog dressed in human clothes reading "Oregonian" newspaper with scene hand lettered in ink "Papa", happy dog dressed in human clothes including woman's hat, couple with small bulldog, fantasy card showing large dog superimposed over aerial town view titled "Dog-on Nice Town Crosby, N.D.", puppies eating with pit bull in doghouse, three hunter types with beagle, boy with pit bull, dog sitting on highchair wearing hat with pipe in mouth, white dog captioned "Skippy Loyal And Faithful Compliments Of The Oakland Tribune", and dog at window captioned "Who Said Cat?" Makers include Rotograph Co., Ansco, Azo, Rotary, Schultz & Shaffmaster, Barnet. One card is postally used, one card has stamp on reverse, two cards have ink notes on reverse. One card has dog's name written in ink on front. Traces of lt. dust soil and some lt. aging but overall group has Fine/VF image areas. Interesting images of man's best friend. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
