Item Description
c. 1920s. Made in France. 1-3/8" wide 5" tall tin litho film viewer has title on one side of painted opening lid designed to insert 32mm films. Design includes Pathé rooster logo. Wheel on side turns to feed films through using internal wheel with rubber O ring. O ring is a bit aged so sometimes slips but could be replaced for smoother operation. Viewer has scattered lt. wear with a few tiny scratches here and there. VG/Fine. 4x5.25x1-3/8" deep thin cardboard box has paper label on top with product name and rooster image. Contains full complement of one dozen smaller slipcase boxes, each with one film w/titles in French. Includes four religious titles, two of Vatican scenes, two of life of Jesus, fables/nursery rhymes include The Fox and The Raven, Two Pigeons, The Pretty Saone, The Presents of the Little People, Grimm's Fairy Tale and The Bear and the Two Companions. Each box has number and all films are different. Box lid is heavily worn and is missing back top flap. VG. Inner boxes have scattered lt. wear but are Fine. Films appear complete and VF. Interesting group.
