17.5x28.25” poster has been mounted on 19.25x30.25” linen. Poster was printed by the Linol-Litho Color Press of Minneapolis, MN. c. 1920s. He Tells You What Is In Your Mind, Answers Unspoken Thoughts, Solves Imaginary Crimes & By An Incredible Ingenuity Achieves The Seemingly Impossible. He Makes No Claims To Supernatural Powers, But Presents His Astounding Feats Solely As Amusing, Unique, Mystifying Entertainment. Poster was folded likely as issued and has 1” tear along right margin but as linen-mounted, these are only noticeable upon close inspection and poster displays Exc. 14x42” linen-mounted poster for “The Wonder Show Of The Age – The Mental Wizard Newmann” features bw photo portrait of Newmann surrounded by Palmer Cox Brownies and lists acts - “The World Famous Simla Séance” as well as “Somnolency A Trip To Dreamland” as well as listing Newmann’s skills in mind-reading. This poster also features bw illustration of Egyptian-themed poster (see item #667) and shadowy profile portrait poster with French text (see item #668). c. 1920s.
