This panel has also been signed in black ink by comic artist Murphy Anderson, who inked many "Green Lantern" comics during the Silver Age. Underside of box lid has been signed ink black ink by Chip Kidd. Left side panel of lid has been signed in blue felt tip pen by Golden Age "Green Lantern" artist Irwin Hasen (1918-2015). Original cellophane window intact. Box has dark moisture staining along bottom half of lid but remains tight. VG. Box contains size Medium (8/10) rayon one-piece costume w/bold "Green Lantern" name across chest w/Green Lantern symbol beneath it. Costume has lt. aging but is free of any tears/splits or any stains. Scattered creases as folded in box. Silk-screen design remains bold. VF. Does not come w/mask. All costumes in this "Adventure Costumes" series are incredibly rare. They did not sell well hence the rarity. These were released just as DC Comics was entering the Silver Age of comics full force and by 1966 when the "Batman" TV series was introduced, a new wave of DC merchandise was released, overshadowing these rare boxed costumes. From the collection of Chip Kidd, renowned author, graphic designer and pop culture enthusiast extraordinaire.
