I - $400 to $700 Help Icon
Item Description
3.25x5.5". Executed in fountain pen this inscription on postcard was sent from "Tuskegee, Alabama September 25, 1900". Washington writes "One Of The Best Ways For Any Individual To Help Himself, Is To Let No Opportunity Pass, To Help Others Regardless Of Race Or Class. He Receives More Who Gives Most". Boldly signed at conclusion "Yours Truly Booker T. Washington". Fantastic content from an important African American leader. Minor wrinkling and less than 1/2" spot of toning at extreme bottom left not affecting signature and inscription. Signature itself has some smudging still displaying VF. Rare. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
