Item Description
2.5x3.5" playing card, part of a deck issued with a board game. There were two versions, an American League set and a National League set which were both produced in 1906 (issue date of the AL set was originally thought to be 1904). Front features great portrait image with text "Strike/Adrian Joss/Cleveland" (Bronchos). Reverse has "Fan Craze" baseball logo. This HOF pitcher had a career ERA of 1.89, the second lowest in MLB history. He did tragically at the age of just 31 from tuberculous meningitis. This is one of the earliest Joss cards.
