Photo has been signed by all 21 players shown by either green or blue steel-tip fountain pen. Signatures run vertically at/by their image, some extending onto their bodies but none cover any of their faces. The key signature is that of HOF member Raymond Brown. He played for this team from 1946-1948 after spending many years in the Negro Leagues, mostly playing for the Homestead Grays. His signature is extremely rare w/only a few known examples and these are either on contracts or paper, we know of no other signed photo sold at auction, let alone a full team photo w/him included. Other keys are: Moe Franklin, Hector Rodriguez, Orienthal Anderson, Pedro Orta, Barney Serrell, Manuel Garcia, Jesus Valenzuela, Hector Arroyo, Joe Sandoval, Antonio Sanchez. A few signature have minor ink smudge, a few at top left of photo are on dark bkg. and bit hard to read but Brown's signature is bold and clear. 1946 was the team's second consecutive year as League Champions. This full team signed photo is most likely unique and with the inclusion of Ray Brown, a must have item for any serious collector of Negro League legends.
