8-3/8x10-3/8" thin artboard has original pen and ink art for single panel "Heathcliff" cartoon published Jan. 6, 1976. Art by "Heathcliff" creator George Gately (1928-2001) shows TV repairman removing fish bones and cat toys from TV set, caption reading "There's Your Trouble!" as annoyed-looking Heathcliff looks at all his goodies and his owner Mr. Nutmeg looks crossly at Heathcliff. Art has ©1976 McNaught Synd., Inc. paste-over at top left and has been signed in blue ink by Gately, who has inscribed art "To Alice Clements - Best Wishes From 'Heathcliff' And George Gately." Art comes w/apology form letter w/several printed Heathcliff images that Gately has personalized to "Dear Alice," apologizing for the delay and mentioning "Enclosed Is An Original Plus An Orange Print For You - No Charge For Such A Great Fan Of Heathcliff's. Heathcliff Is Now Out In Book Form (Paperback 95¢) So Check Your Local Book Store. Sincerely, George Gately."
