Item Description
16x18.25" frame contains 27-piece lockpick set confiscated from a burglar in 1935. Sizes range from 1-5/8" long to nearly 6.5" long. Set includes a variety of picks, each w/different key teeth designs, nine featuring double heads. Picks appear to have been hand-made out of steel, but picks are well-done, w/great detail to key teeth. Bottom center of frame contains engraved plaque reading "Burglar Lockpick Set - Confiscated 1935 - Livingston, Montana." Picks are attached to aged piece of thin cardboard, likely part of a local police force used for teaching or display. This has been matted to 10.75x14" and shows some wear w/creasing/cracking to surface paper. As professionally matted and framed, displays nicely. Picks have some scattered surface oxidation, but Fine/VF overall.
