Item Description
11x14" lobby card for the original release of the 1935 Universal horror film "Werewolf Of London," the first Hollywood mainstream werewolf movie. See previous item #2449. This card features Henry Hull operating his moon lamp in an attempt to entice the Mariphasa plant to bloom, its blossoms providing a temporary cure for Hull's new-found case of lycanthropy. Standing at his side is his assistant Hawkins, played by J.M. Kerrigan. Card shows moderate dust soiling along margins and has archival tape reinforcement added on back of lower left corner crease. Other corners have some creasing and card has scattered handling wear. Lower right corner has heavy .25" crease at tip. Lower left corner has nearly 2" diagonal crease. VG/Fine. All promotional material for this film is rare and desirable.
