Item Description
These are similar in concept to the "I'm The Guy" buttons in our previous lot but they were issued even earlier and began as early as the first year buttons were produced in 1896. Each is 7/8" and there are 135 in this collection. They are in seven plastic coin sheets and there are spacers for the buttons which are known but are not in the collection. Some of these have a covered tin back with vertical stickpin but majority have back papers and among the cigarette names are: Sweet Caporal, High Admiral, American Oval, and Crimped Seal. 35 of the 135 have noticeable stain or crazing of the celluloid. Majority of these still display well and the other 100 are extremely clean. Group comes with a list of 34 known slogans not included in the group of 135. The most complete collection known to us.
