Item Description
Lot of three thin plastic capes w/thin vacufrom plastic masks in original 9.25x9.5x3.75" deep cardboard window boxes. Made in Argentina by Plastirama, c. 1967. Each box has National Periodical Publications name, so these are licensed items for the then-burgeoning Argentinian Batman market. Costumes include - Batman, Robin and the recently introduced Batgirl. Each box has nicely done character-specific art, w/the correct colors for each character, an unusual occurrence when it comes to foreign Batman items. Each mask (except Robin) and cape has character's names (Batgirl is in Spanish). Each boxed costume also comes w/thin plastic belt and triangular paper insert promoting Argentinian personality/craft. Boxes show wear w/Batman box showing the most. All lid corners remain tight and boxes have some scattered staple rusting. Batman box is VG/Fine w/plastic window still firmly affixed to lid. Batgirl box has window partially loose at top and is VF. Robin box has some scattered aging/dust soiling to window, which remains firmly affixed to lid. VF. Masks (Batman comes w/separate bat-shaped domino mask) remains free of splits or dents and are Exc. overall (Batman has some small paints flecks on chin as produced. Capes have been folded as issued but are Exc. overall. Great boxed foreign costumes w/wonderful box art.
