Item Description
Original illustrated cardboard box contains 3x5.5x6.25" tall metal and plastic pencil sharpener produced for the Japanese market by Max. c. 1966. Metal portions of sharpener has two batsymbol stickers, one w/"Max" name within. Plastic portion of sharpener (shavings container) has portrait image of Batman and Robin on sides w/full figure image of punching Batman and Batmobile on front. Top has spring-operated button to allow pencil to be inserted in sharpener. NM. Comes w/original illustrated Japanese instruction booklet, packing slip and hardware. Original string tag (w/batsymbol and price in Yen) still attached. NM. Box features wonderful images of Batman and Robin as well as the Batmobile, though in different colors as seen in the US. Box has separated along one corner as glued and has some scattered lt. wear. VF/Exc. Great design. Unused, old store stock. Rare and first we've offered.
