Large and impressive 14x25.5" linen-backed felt miniature blanket or "rug" has "Harvard" college pennant at center flanked by Harvard football player at left and university seal at right. Issued in the 1910s as a premium by "Fatima Cigarettes" as part of a series of these premium "rugs" featuring different colleges. These were premiums obtained w/coupons. Fringe trim on left and right margins and slight trim to bottom margin. Upper margin has large area of moisture staining to pattern border and "Harvard" pennant image has scattered spots of moisture staining, including 1" and 1.25" spots. Good. One of the most sought after of this series due to the Ivy League status of Harvard as well as the great football player graphic. Scarce.
