27.75x42" linen-mounted poster promotes the "Old King Cole And Mother Goose - A Spectacular Fantasy" added attraction that dates to c. 1941. The poster features a stunning array of seven clowns in wonderful 1700s period costumes by noted theatrical and industrial designer Norman Bel Geddes as noted by "Produced By John Ringling North - Created And Costumed By Norman Bel Geddes - Staged By Albertina Rasch" text along bottom. Of note, clown king sits on throne w/young clown courtesan at his side as they and other clowns watch Mother Goose clown flying overhead on large goose. Faint vertical crease as originally folded. 3.75" and 8.25" tears along left side, though these do not infringe upon images and as linen-mounted, blend somewhat. Rest of poster has some scattered handling wear w/some creases. There appears to be some mild restoration to 5" area of creasing by upright poodle at lower center. As linen-mounted, poster retains an Exc. appearance w/bright and bold colors. Great clown poster.
