Item Description
31x38" gold wood frame contains original ink and colored marker art by Sheldon Moldoff that has been professionally double-matted to 22x29.75" and incorporates six Batman scenes in montage style. Center has "Bat Man" logo w/large looming and smiling Batman. He swoops down at left and right, swings on a tree limb w/moon and bats in bkg., leaps over wall, and holds cowl while looking at Batsignal. Art is signed in ink "Sheldon 'Shelly' Moldoff" at lower left. Art is titled in ink at bottom "Limited Art, Original Series 'Batman The Beginning' #9." Bottom left has ink text "D.C. (C) '97." Created in 1997. Bright and NM. A total of ten similar originals were done. Moldoff (1920-2012) was Bob Kane's first assistant on Batman and became a premiere Golden Age artist drawing Hawkman, again drawing Batman in the Silver Age. The nicest Moldoff original we've ever seen. Impressive and ready for display. From the Robert M. Overstreet Collection and comes with COA.
