Item Description
13.75" tall painted tin astronaut w/tin head under clear plastic dome. 1960s by Daiya of Japan. Astronaut is designed w/"Battery Box A-620" tanks on back to hold batteries and toy walks forward, lifts arms that hold space rifle, gun fires, creating a noise and lighting tip. This is red suit version w/tin head. Toy has some lt. aging w/two pinpoint spots and larger 1/8" spot of oxidation to metal helmet collar and luster loss to collar as well. Two .25" hairline cracks on sides of plastic helmet w/larger 5/8" long crack by ear. Overall, toy retains bright and glossy appearance w/lt. scattered wear to the tin body. Still a working and Fine/VF example.
