45x82" elaborate wooden frame w/metal corner attachments contains 41x81" poster for original American release (w/Albert Kallis art) of the classic 1959 American/British science-fiction film about a giant radioactive monster attacking a coastal English town. The film was released in Britain as "Behemoth, The Sea Monster" and in the US as "The Giant Behemoth." The film was directed by Eugène Lourié and starred Gene Evans and André Morell. The film was distributed by Allied Artists Pictures. As is typical w/three-sheet posters, this poster was issued in two pieces w/the top third being attached to rest of poster. Folded as issued w/lt. wear and scattered small tears along fold line. Fold crease intersections show wear, w/some having small .25" holes. 1x6" area of soiling by "Behemoth" name at lower left and scattered dust soiling/wear along white margins.
