c. 1980s. 19x23” high quality wood frame has triple archival mat w/11.75x15.75” opening. Art is ink, colored markers, and watercolor. Classic Golden Age image of Hawkman standing full figure w/large hawk’s head forming out of wings. Hawkman stands on hand lettered logo, art is signed “Sheldon ‘Shelly’ Moldoff” at lower left. NM. Sheldon Moldoff ( 1920-2012), hired by Vincent Sullivan, was Bob Kane’s first assistant on Batman in 1939. He became the main Hawkman artist in 1940 and went on to do numerous Golden and Silver Age comics, including “Moon Girl” for EC. A prime example of Moldoff’s art. Ready for display.
