Item Description
11.5" tall tin litho w/movable wooden arms and legs comes in original plastic bag w/illustrated cardboard header card. Header card shows the many uses for the components that make up this toy. Elaborately designed set by Wolverine, c. 1950. Arms have a pair of wire hook hands that swing up to hold shovel to use as carrying handle. Robot's mid-section serves as sand pail and has lid which serves as a sieve. The removable head sprinkling can w/ears serving as handles can be used to pour water or sand. Side designs include girders w/rivets, back includes images of a hose vent and electrical outlet w/switch. Cup feet can be used as sand molds. One of the wire hook hands is loose within the bag and bag has small tears by top of arms. Front of body has some red paint rubs by "The Robot" text but toy is unused and NM as bagged. This is a hard toy to find in nice condition due to its intended use let alone in its original packaging, this being the first example we've seen in the original packaging in our 47 years.
