Item Description
5.75x5.75x8" tall box contains 6.5" tall hard plastic/cast metal/painted tin figural "Midnight Owl" radio. Made in Japan, 1960s. Radio is unmarked and generally accepted as Bubo the Owl from the 1980 "Clash Of The Titans" film, though clearly box dates it much earlier. This aside, fans of the film still search out this piece as the resemblance is so uncanny. Box features forest scene w/trees as well as image of the clock itself and art image of actual owl on top flap. Box shows scattered edge/corner tip wear but box retains its shape and is Fine overall, complete w/original styrofoam packaging and instruction sheet. Radio is cream/bright gold w/pair of purple jeweled plastic eyes which serve as the tuning/volume knobs. Working and Mint as issued. Rarely found boxed.
