Item Description
11x22.5" cardboard production display box contains 10x22.25" plastic production casing-covered bagatelle w/working mechanism and nine marbles to show how toy would work. Playing field has applied pieces of paper which have been hand-painted by Marx factory artist and shows Snow White w/Prince Charming, the Dwarfs and forest animals w/cottage in bkg., individual Dwarfs w/applied name labels and Witch w/apple at cauldron, an image of her as the Evil Queen forming in the smoke. Bell at center. Some of these labels have begun to peel due to glue aging, revealing portions of production Batman bagatelle game utilized to produce this prototype. Text on back of display box reads "8177X - 12-19-66- Glen Dale," indicating this was produced at the Glendale, WV. plant. 1966. Scattered wear/aging. Fine overall. From the John Bowers Collection.
