Item Description
11.25x14.25x3.25" deep box w/beautiful graphics of Buck flying through space holding ray gun and various spaceships. Box has replaced bottom, three replaced side panels of lid and 3" section of other side panel. Lower right 5.5x5.5" corner section of main lid panel has been replaced. Box just comes along and contains Sackman Brothers Co. set issued in 1935. Box contains pants w/suede-like chaps/cuffs and vest w/3.5" dia. leather patch w/metal rivets that has "Buck Rogers 25th Century" image and text. Outfit has lt. aging and wear. Fine overall. Patch has some lt. areas of discoloration but retains a Fine/VF appearance. This was both a store item and issued as a Cream of Wheat premium. Set also includes child's size suede cloth helmet w/movable visor unit w/plastic eye cover insert. Ear flaps feature "Buck Rogers 25th Century" image. Has chin strap w/buckle. Complete w/original separate accent piece attached to top back center as issued. Suede covering has stiffened w/age and has scattered wear/surface cracks. Most of this appears on top surface so not readily visible when viewed straight-on from either side. Still quite nice for display and rare. VG. Comes w/11x11" nice quality suede on canvas holster designed to hold Daisy Rocket Pistol XZ-31. Missing original belt. Holster has fabric patches attached by metal rivets. These feature rocketships and planets while bottom patch has full figure image of Buck and "Buck Rogers 25th Century" text below this. There are also three die-cut blue star attachments and red strap across center. Has scattered hairline cracks in the suede covering w/most noticeable wear at center. The patches have dust soiling and one w/Buck has st. bend so it does not lay perfectly flat. Trace of tarnish on a few rivets. VG/Fine. Last item is Daisy "Buck Rogers Rocket Pistol XZ-31," the larger 9.5" long variety of two sizes produced in 1934. Gun is heavy blue steel w/nickel-plated rocket nozzle and backlash deflector. Left side of gun has incised "Buck Rogers 25th Century" text and small full figure image of Buck Rogers on grips. All over typical aging/wear, most blends w/dark coloring of the gun. Rivet behind trigger has moderate oxidation. No longer working but still a Fine example.
