Item Description
3.5x5-3/8" real photo postcard shows MLB player Dave Hoskins, a pitcher who briefly played for the Cleveland Indians in 1953-1954, appearing for a total of just 40 games. Hoskins' professional career began in the Negro Leagues and continued in the minor leagues after his departure from Cleveland. Hoskins' signature is tough to obtain due to his early death in 1970 and his refusal to sign autographs following his baseball career. Postcard has been signed in black ink "Best Wishes To Richie - Dave Hoskins." The Richie mentioned was a young Richard Merkin. Postcard is unused and has just lt. wear. VF overall. Inscription/signature is a bit lt. at spots but still clear and legible. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
