Item Description
Sanrio 1985. See item #2556 for more details on the series. The prototype figure in this lot is "Baron Von Cuder" based on a barracuda with a crab claw hand. There is a complete figure made of resin. He has an armored chest piece, a finned cloak and a harpoon weapon. He also has an articulated pincer on his crab hand. There is one child size ring base included. On this figure his legs are attached to each other and to figure but figure doesn't stand on its own. Also included in this lot is another figure minus the claw hand with detached legs, another head casting, another resin chest piece, a test painted torso in blue with two more chest pieces plated in chrome. Items will display Exc. Also included is a bw copy of the original concept color artwork with a few notations. Sheet folded, pin holes, taped with a clipped corner and has lt. crease from folding. Fine. The Baron has an amazing amount of sculpt detail in his scaled head with fangs. This item is truly unique and one of a kind, anything that could be called a defect is from the creative process of action figure design as it was in the 80s. From the archives of Toy Designer Rich Roland.
