Item Description
Sanrio 1985. See item #2556 for more details on the series. The prototype figure in this lot is "Octo" based on an octopus. There is a complete figure made of resin. He has separate armored guards on his shins, a chest piece with a hole in the center and a pistol. There is one child size ring base included. The final piece is an extra left leg painted sample in purple and black. On this figure his legs are attached to each other and to figure but figure doesn't stand on its own. Items will display Exc. Also included is a color copy of the original concept color artwork with a few handwritten notations. Sheet is folded and has creases as a result. Fine. Octo has an amazing amount of sculpt detail with molded in tentacles cascading down his chest and back. This item is truly unique and one of a kind, anything that could be called a defect is from the creative process of action figure design as it was in the 80s. From the archives of Toy Designer Rich Roland.
