Rare Cuban issue with 90 miniature glossy photo cards in the set, each 5/8x7/8" featuring Major League players. This lot consists of the card stock fold out album which contains complete amount of 90 mounted cards, but not a complete set, there are 70 different and 20 duplicates. Original owner filled the album but did not compile a complete set as intended. A complete album was to be sent in to obtain prizes such as baseball equipment, toys, etc. As folded, front cover has illustrations of "Wilson Western League" boxed baseball, gloves and a bat. Back cover includes prize text and shows a doll. Album opens once to reveal complete card list with player's name, position, team and league. Album opens once more, to 15" in length, to reveal the mounted cards. While cards are small, all have bold, clear images. The two key cards are present, Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig. Other stars include Mickey Cochrane, Lefty Grove, Melvin Ott, Al Simmons, George Sisler, Pie Traynor, Dazzy Vance. Cards for Jimmy Foxx, Walter Johnson and Rogers Hornsby are not here. Noticeable aging to the album with lt. vertical crease at center but not affecting the cards. Cards do show scattered aging and wear. VG overall. Complete list of cards w/duplicates follows.
