Item Description
13x19-5/8" thin artboard for June 26 w/12 panels. Ink caption at top reads "Showing A Young Man Trying To Elope With The Girl He Loves But Yielding To The Adversity Of Cruel Fate." He’s crushed by trunks and suitcases, bitten by her dog, then hit w/a baseball bat by her father as the moon laughs in bkg. Several panels have portions nicely watercolored. Signed by creator and noted animation pioneer T.E. Powers in panel 12. Margins have dust soil and notes, image area is Exc. A superb and funny example of Power’s art. From the Jan Wahl Collection.
